GERALD T. DOHERTY, a 1970 graduate of Harvard College, was graduated cum laude from Suffolk Law School in 1975 where he was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Doherty served as Assistant General Counsel in the legal department of the Boston Redevelopment Authority. He has been in private practice in the City of Boston since 1977 with a significant portion of his practice focusing on the representation of individuals and developers in commercial real estate transactions. He received an LL.M in taxation from Boston University Law School in 1982 and has had a wide range of experience in representing clients in tax, corporate, estate planning and probate matters. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Conveyancers Association and a former member of the Canton Conservation Commission.
