GERALD T. DOHERTY, a 1970 graduate of Harvard University, graduated cum laude from Suffolk Law School in 1975 where he was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Doherty served as Assistant General Counsel in the legal department of the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Jerry has been in private practice in the City of Boston since 1977 with a significant portion of his practice focusing on the representation of individuals and developers in commercial real estate transactions. He received an LL.M in taxation from Boston University Law School in 1982 and has had a wide range of experience in representing clients in estate planning, tax, corporate and probate matters. Jerry is a member of the Norfolk and Plymouth Estate and Business Planning Council and the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association Commercial Real Estate Finance and Leasing Committees. Jerry has earned the respect and confidence of his peers as evidenced by their electing to provide him with Martindale Hubbell’s “AV” rating, the highest rating awarded by that prestigious service.
